ROMEOVILLE, Ill - The William Jewell College women's soccer team lost their first road conference game 4-2 against the Lewis University Flyers. With the loss, the Cardinals move to 0-6 and 0-3 in the GLVC.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After a quick Flyers goal, Anea Bemo tied it up with a goal of her own in the thirteenth minute.
• Ten minutes later Jewell captured the lead 2-1, courtesy of a Anya Linstrom goal assited by Kate Lawrence.
• Cardinals allowed two goals after going into halftime tied, resulting in the final score.

KEY STATS

• Linstrom led the game with 10 shots, two of which on goal. 
• Cardinals rallied 17 shots, the most since shooting 18 against SBU and Newman last season.
• Megan Giffin got her first start of the season, posting a season high 64 minutes.
