JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The William Jewell women's soccer team ended their 2024 season on a high note with a 5-2 victory over Lincoln University (Mo.) Sunday afternoon. The win marks the fourth on the year for the Cardinals who conclude their 2024 season with a 4-11-2 regular season record and a 3-9-2 GLVC mark.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Dilyn Davies wasted no time, finding the net just two minutes into the game with a crisp assist from fellow freshman Maddy Follmer.
- Jewell came out of halftime with a 1-0 lead, but that quickly changed as Davies less than three minutes into play would again score. This time being assisted by junior Riley Frasure-Smith,
- Minutes later the Davies and Follmer connection struck again, this time in reversed roles as the latter scored her second goal of the year with the help of Davies.
- Goals from Frasure-Smith and Lux Sands provided all the insurance the Cardinals needed as Jewell capped off their year with a 5-2 win.
