LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's wrestling team returns to the Mabee Center on Saturday for the third annual Jewell Duals beginning at 10 a.m. The Cardinals will play host to four schools, including the No. 1 University of Iowa, No. 7 Lindenwood University, No. 19 NAIA Missouri Baptist, and Fort Hays State University.
Between both NCAA and NAIA individual rankings, there is projected to be 11 total top-10 wrestlers between the five schools competing including Jewell's own
Alex Waitsman who is ranked eighth in the NCAA in the 117lb class.
CARDINAL NOTES
- Jewell faced the top ranked Hawkeyes on November 16 in Iowa City. There are several possible match-ups that have connections to the program as Emilie Gonzalez (Iowa) was a member of third year Head Coach Desiree Ramos's former club.
- Waitsman is projected to go against former club teammate and 117lb class number one Brianna Gonzalez. While Emarie Bolosan, Shelby Kemp, and Nylease Yzagere are all also projected to face opponents they wrestled last month.
- While not being nationally ranked, Fort Hays has one top-10 individual in Lexie Lopez who is tenth in the 124lb division. Lindenwood and Missouri Baptist bring in three and four top-10 rated wrestlers in their respective divisions.

- Gate opens at 9 a.m. with tickets available for purchase online for $10 for adults and $8 for youth. Discounts are available with information being posted on Jewell Wrestling's Instagram page, @Jewellwwstl
- Live-stream will be available for free on the GLVC Sports Network, with coverage beginning at 9:45 a.m. Video will only cover the William Jewell primary mat.
