SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The William Jewell softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader on Sunday at Drury Univerity, falling 9-1 in five innings and 6-1 in game two. The Cardinals move to 23-29 overall and 6-18 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
GAME ONE: Drury 9, Jewell 1 (5 Inn.)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals got on the board first as Sabrina Olmo led off with a base hit and came around to score on an RBI single from Addie Bell.
- Drury tied things up first before adding two in the third and six more in the fifth to end the game in five innings.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Jewell finished with six hits with Olmo having three of those.
- Avrey Reynolds (11-14) took the loss, giving up just three earned runs on but allowed seven walks.
GAME TWO: Drury 6, Jewell 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jewell again scored first in game two as Bell blasted a solo home run to left field.
- The Panthers got a home run of their own, a two-run shot, in the bottom of the second to take the lead.
- Drury added a run in the fifth and three more in the sixth to take game two.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Bell finished with two of the Cardinals sixth hits.
- Olivia Wood (9-8) worked six innings, allowing four earned runs on eight hits.

Jewell will travel to Northwest Missouri State on Tuesday for their final non-conference matchup of the season.
