Gifford led the women's tennis team last week to their first conference win over the season in a 7-0 sweep of Truman State. In the win, the junior won 6-2, 6-0 over Akansha Negi at No. 2 singles while teaming with Maisie Markowitz to win at No. 2 doubles, 6-1. She also was the lone Cardinal win against Quincy University at No. 2, winning 6-3, 6-1 (8), 6-2.

Oots paced the Jewell men's golf team this week at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship where the Cardinals posted their highest ever finish, tying for fifth place overall. The sophomore shot an even 216 over three rounds to vault up nine spots in the finale from 13th to tie for fourth, earning All-GLVC First Team honors while picking up one eagle and 11 birdies. He topped the Jewell lineup that posted a 903 team score, the fifth best mark over the NCAA era.
