LIBERTY, Mo – The William Jewell men's soccer team lost Sunday afternoon to the Southwest Baptist Bearcats, 3-1. The Cardinals are 2-8-3 headed into the final two weeks of the season along with a 1-6-3 conference record.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• It only took 10 minutes before Jewell was able to find the goal, a strike from Eliott Labeth to the back of the net gave Jewell a 1-0 lead early on.
• Six minutes later a Bearcat goal knotted things up at one apiece.
• The Cardinals put together four shots in the second half, but two goals from Southwest Baptist in a six-minute span resulted in the 3-1 final.

 
KEY STATS

• Aldo Bryant got the start spending 36 minutes in goal allowing three scores with two saves. Tully Keegan clocked 24 minutes collecting three saves.
• All six of Jewell's shots on goal came from the subs, including from Kevin Madrid, three by Zach Nichols, and Kanosh Abdulameer.

Jewell will play the Drury University Panthers on the road Friday night.
