ST. LOUIS – The William Jewell women's soccer team lost Friday afternoon by a score of 3-0 to the Maryville University Saints. The loss sets Jewell to 0-3-2 on the season and 0-1-1 in the GLVC portion of the schedule.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• After a trio of shots by the Saints, Jewell notched their first shot when Riley Frasure-Smith booted the ball but was saved by the Maryville keeper. Later Jewell would go down 1-0 at halftime.
• Similarly to half one, Frasure-Smith had the only other shot on goal for the Cardinals but was also saved,
• Jewell allowed two goals in the second half as the Saints won, 3-0.

 
KEY STATS

• Jenna Skeeters played the first half, leaving with one save and one goal allowed. Hailey Davin played the next 45 minutes, allowing two goals while collecting two saves.
• Frasure-Smith's two shots on goal where the only shots by the Cardinals, compared to 25 shots by Maryville.

 
Jewell will look to bounce back when they travel to McKendree on Sunday.
