LEBANON, Ill. – The William Jewell men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to McKendree University on Sunday afternoon at Leemon Field. The Cardinals now sit at 2-4-0 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the 18', McKendree's Henri Poll opened the scoring with a successful penalty kick. 

• Just before halftime, Chris Moore added another goal for the Bearcats in the 42nd minute, putting Jewell down 2-0 at the break. 

• The Cardinals responded quickly after halftime, with Kaleb Fannin netting his second goal of the season in the 50th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. 

• McKendree answered back just seven minutes later with a goal from Alonso Romero Carmona to extend the lead to 3-1. 

• In the 85th minute, Morgan Dance capped off the scoring with a goal assisted by Lenny Dupouyet, sealing the 4-1 win for the Bearcats.

• Kaleb Fannin scored his second goal of the year and William Jewell's lone goal of the match. 

• McKendree improves to 2-3-1 (2-1-0 GLVC) while Jewell falls to 2-4-0 (1-2-0 GLVC).
