LEBANON, Ill.. – The William Jewell women's soccer team fell 5-0 to McKendree University on Sunday afternoon at Leemon Field. The Cardinals are now 0-4-2 overall and 0-2-1 in GLVC play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• McKendree struck early, with Alina Ayran scoring just 90 seconds into the match. 

• The Bearcats doubled their lead in the 44th minute as Zoe Cormier found the back of the net with help from Ella Post. 

• William Jewell fought hard defensively throughout the first half, limiting several McKendree chances, but couldn't contain the Bearcats' offensive pressure. 

• In the second half, Maggie Gleckler extended the lead at 61 minutes, followed by two quick goals from Aubrey Andrews and Karin Tebelius in the 68th minute, both assisted by Ella Post. 

KEY STATS 

• William Jewell recorded 3 shots on goal, including attempts from midfielder Sophia Giuliano, forward Hannah Carlson, and defender Mia Ramirez. 

• Goalkeeper Jenna Skeeters made four saves, keeping McKendree from extending the score further during key moments. 

• The Cardinals controlled possession at times but were outmatched on set pieces, trailing 10-1 in corner kicks.
