Liberty, MO. – The women's Jewell soccer team opened up their first home game of the year versus Wayne State College (Neb.), resulting in a tie of 0-0. In the first week of the season the Cardinals are 0-1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cardinals weren't able to put any shots on goal in the first half, despite shots from Riley Frasure-Smith, Sydney Robinson, and Lux Sands. 

• Coming out of the half with neither team netting a goal, in the 45', Lux Sands put a shot on goal, but it was saved in the bottom center of the net by the Wayne State

• Reagan Morelan, Robinson, and Frasure-Smith all put shots on goal in the second half, but no goals were scored by either team resulting in the 0-0 tie.
   

KEY STATS

• Jenna Skeeters was terrific in the net for the Cardinals, saving all 7 shots on goal from the Wildcats. 

• The Cardinals had four total shots on goal off 14 shots while the Wildcats totaled seven on 18 shots on goal.
