LIBERTY, Mo. – William Jewell College Athletics is proud to announce the inaugural Liberty Day celebration, to occur on October 31 at the Cardinal football game at Greene Stadium versus Missouri S&T. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
This event is dedicated to celebrating the residents, businesses, and community organizations of Liberty that support the College year-round. As a thank you to our community, Jewell is offering free general admission tickets to Liberty Public Schools students and their families, Liberty business owners, and anyone with a Liberty address, with valid ID.
In addition to free admission, the day will feature a variety of community-focused activities. A trunk-or-treat event will take place pregame in the tailgate lot while the first 200 Liberty Public School students will receive a free t-shirt upon entry to the stadium. Following the game, fans can stick around for autographs and photos on the field with members of the Cardinal football team and spirit squads.
Earlier in the day, Jewell Cheerleading is also hosting a Junior Cheer Clinic. Registration ($40) includes clinic instruction, t-shirt, pom poms, hair bow, and the opportunity to join the Cardinal cheerleading squad on the sideline during the first quarter of the football game.
One of the nation's oldest athletics departments, beginning competition on The Hill in 1883, William Jewell College competes as a member of the NCAA Division II and in the highly competitive Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
