ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The William Jewell baseball team suffered an 11-0 setback in the series finale with Lewis University on Sunday to fall to 6-17 on the season and 2-6 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Flyers jumped out on top in the first inning, taking advantage of two walks to score the game's first run. 
• Jewell pitching settled in, allowing just one additional run over the next four innings to trail just 2-0 into the sixth.
• Lewis scored three runs on threes in the sixth before adding six more tallies in the seventh on three hits and two Cardinal errors end the game, 11-0.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Jewell was limited to just two hits, from Brayden Blundell and Maddox Meier while Luke Bies drew a walk and stole a base. 
• Nick Taylor (0-3) took the loss, allowing three earned runs over five innings.
