QUINCY, Ill. – Playing a man down for more than half the match and two men down for the final 14 minutes, the William Jewell men's soccer team held Quincy scoreless in a 0-0 draw Saturday afternoon at Jack Mackenzie Field. The Hawks entered the match unbeaten in GLVC play. Jewell is now 2-6-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team could break through early, with Hugo Nordenberg and Max Evanoff each forcing saves from the Quincy keeper in the first half.
- Jewell went down to 10 men in the 35', and the Hawks turned up the pressure after halftime, firing 23 shots in the second half.
- The Cardinals went down to nine men in the 76', but the Jewell back line of Alan Sari, Dax Wilkinson, Giorgos Eleftheriou and Evanoff went the full 90 minutes and helped keep Quincy off the board to secure the draw.

- Aidan Smith played all 90 minutes in goal and made 10 saves, including eight in the second half, to earn the clean sheet.
