Eddie Horn enters his seventh season as the head coach of the Jewell men's soccer program in 2024.

Jewell Highlights
• Coached first-year member Zach Nichols to the All-GLVC Third Team in 2024
• Mentored Sam Wambold to All-GLVC Third Team honors in 2022, the first All-Conference honor for the Cardinals since 2016
• Led team to most GLVC wins since 2015 in the spring season of 2021
• Lowered goals against average from 3.4 to 1.6 per game in one season
• Raised scoring average from 0.60 to 0.92
• Earned program's first-ever Team Academic All-GLVC honor in 2021
• Has totaled 71 Academic All-GLVC honors, including a program record 26 in 2022

 


Memberships
• Has served on multiple committees for the NSCAA National Convention as well as the Director of Coaching for the United Soccer Club where he was responsible for player development and recruitment


Prior to Jewell
• Spent two seasons as the assistant coach at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, helping the Roos to 10 wins where he worked under Jewell Hall of Famer and alumnus Chris Cissell 
• Restarted the program at State Fair Community College coaching both the men’s and women’s teams
• Spent 26 years at the high school level in the Jefferson City School District (MO), coaching the boys and girls programs amassing over 500 wins
• Led the Jefferson City boys program to a winning record in 23 of 26 seasons and the Blue Jay girls to the Class 4 Final Four in 2014
• Was named the Missouri High School Coaches Association and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Coach of the Year
• Helped develop 50 student-athletes who went on to play at the collegiate level, including one who participated in the Women’s National Team training camp
• Has worked with some of the top high school players across the country, having coached the All-America Game in 2013 and serving on the on the Olympic Development staff, recruiting players for teams on eight different tours of Europe

Personal
A Sedalia, Mo. native
• Earned his undergraduate degree in physical education, followed by a master’s in educational administration from Lincoln University in 2001
• Coached his son Logan at State Fair and William Jewell from 2017-2021
