Jewell Highlights
• Has produced 45 All-Conference performers, including the 2009 Heart of America Freshman of the Year
• Coached 135 Academic All-GLVC selections
• Two players, Rachel Hayden (2014) and Faith Song (2015), have been selected All-America, while 11 players have also been named to the NFCA All-Region Team.
• Mentored pitcher Anna Biondo who in 2019 broke four school records and became the third pitcher in the NCAA era to toss a no-hitter (Southwest Baptist) following Rachel Hayden (Southwest-2014) and Amanda Storms (Drury-2012)
• Ranked eighth nationally with a .974 team fielding percentage in 2019
• Best start in nearly a decade in 2018 opening the season 7-0 and winners of 11 of their first 14 games
• Led the 2015 team to multiple program records with a .326 batting average, hits per game (9.31), doubles per game (1.57), and runs scored per game (5.96)
• Set several program records in 2013, including 53 home runs (1.12 per game), which ranked first in the GLVC and eighth in the nation
• Set new program records in 2011 with 314 runs scored, 488 hits, 45 home runs, 291 RBI, .301 batting average, and a .962 fielding percentage
• Earned a program-best 38 wins in 2011 
• 2011 pitching staff led the Heart of America Conference in strikeouts with 437 which also ranked fourth in the nation to go along with an ERA with 1.84 and opponents batting average of .217, both of which also ranked in the top-20 nationally


Prior to Jewell
• Served seven seasons as the head coach of the Glendale High School softball program in Springfield, Missouri 
• Compiled 108 wins, which was at the time the leader in wins for a softball coach in Springfield Public Schools history and the only coach to amass over 100 victories
• Won Class 4 District Championships in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005 and made back-to-back State Quarterfinal appearances in 2001 and 2002
• Earned three Academic All-Conference and Missouri State High School Athletic Association Outstanding Scholastic Achievement
• Served as the Glendale Assistant Baseball Coach for seven years and in the summer of 2003, was named the Glendale American Legion head varsity baseball coach
• Received recognition in 2004 from the National High School Baseball Coaches Association as District No. 5 “Grounds Keeper of the Year,” and was a finalist for National Grounds Keeper of the Year through his work on the Glendale High School baseball field

• Attended Northeastern A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma, for two years while playing baseball for the Golden Norsemen


Personal
• A native of Commerce, Oklahoma
• Earned an undergraduate degree in physical education from Northeastern State and a master's in secondary administration from William Woods University
• Spent three summers in Akron, Ohio serving as the assistant field manager of the Akron Racers of the National Pro Fastpitch League
• Married to his wife Susan and has two sons Cruze and Brecken
