Makaela Carr enters her first season on staff with the Cardinal softball program.

• Played three seasons for the University of North Dakota, where she was a All-Summit Leage Second Team honoree
• Was twice named the Summit League Pitcher of the Week and ranked second among Division I pitcher in saves
• Led the Hawks to the most wins in program history and earned Academic All-District honors
• Played her prep ball at nearby Smithville High School and was the No. 78 ranked player in the Class of 2021
• Was an All-Conference, All-District, All-Region, and All-State performer and led her team to a multiple conference and district championships
• A native of Smithville, Missouri
• Earned a bachelor's degree in communication, graduating magna cum laude from North Dakota
