Desiree Ramos enters her fourth season as the head coach of the women's wrestling program in 2025-2026.

Jewell Highlights
• Mentored Jewell women's wresting first All-American Alex Waitsman in 2025
• Coached Athena Willden to 14-13 decision over Iowa's Rose Cassioppi at the 2025 Missouri Valley Open
• Has led eight athletes to the National Women's Wrestling Collegiate Championship with all advancing to the blood round
• Led the Cardinals to a 5-7 mark in dual action in her first two seasons 
• Has led athletes to five regular season tournament wins 


Prior to Jewell
• Was the head coach of the Somar Wrestling Club and led the program to three consecutive California freestyle state championships
• Posted a dominant showing in 2019 as her girls team boasted a higher score than that of programs with boys and girls combined
• Led the club to the 2021 USA Wrestling Showcase National Championship, winning by more than 100 points, placing every wrestler no lower than third, with two champions
• Has coached 28 All-Americans, 42 state placers, nine high school national finalists, including five champions, six state finalists, three collegiate All-Americans, four Pan-American champions and one World Team member
• Spent time at Cerritos High School (Calif.) mentoring state placers in each year and oversaw recruiting, placing 100% of those who desired to compete after high school with a collegiate program

Personal
• Earned her bachelor's in health and exercise science in 2016, followed by a master's in business administration in 2019, both from Missouri Baptist
