Ryan Arens enters his fifth year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Jewell and will work primarily with volleyball and baseball while serving as the Department's Insurance Coordinator.

Prior to Jewell
• Arens joins Jewell after serving as a physician extender for St. Louis Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
• He previously served as the Athletic Trainer for the River City Rascals Professional Baseball Club where he was responsible for overall health and injury assessment.
• He also served on the medical staff for the 2011 and 2012 women's Big 12 Conference Tournament as well as the assistant athletic trainer at Kansas City Kansas Community College where he was the primary contact for volleyball and softball while also assisting with men's and women's basketball, baseball, track and field, and men's and women's soccer. 


Personal
• He earned his degree in athletic training from Central Methodist University where he received the Athletic Training Student Clinical Excellence Award followed by a master's in applied health science from Northwest Missouri State.
