Carolyn Beck (formally Raynes) spent nine years at the helm of the William Jewell College volleyball program from 2014-2022.

• Won the most games since 2012 last season, going 13-15 overall
• Mentored rookie Alex Dvorak to GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honors, the first freshman to earn the recognition since 2019 and first ever for the Cardinals
• Saw two players, Bella LaPorta and Alex Dvorak finish among the top players in NCAA-II in kills per set and blocks per set
• Led Jewell to four consecutive seasons of double-digit wins between 2016-2019, which had not been done since 2012
• Has 77 Academic All-GLVC honors and seven straight Team Academic All-GLVC awards
• Mentored Elizabeth Quinn who dominated the net, leading the GLVC in blocking in 2019 and setting the NCAA-era single season record with 139 rejections. She went on to break every blocking record for the Cardinals as a senior
• Increased team blocks per set in 2020 from 1.86 to 2.16 per set
• Recruited and mentored the Cardinals' all-time digs leader (2,201) Olivia Tolberd
• Has two players in the 1,000 digs club in Olivia Tolberd (2,201) and Stefanie Richterkessing (1,176)
• Posted back-to-back double digit win seasons in 2018 for the first time since joining the NCAA
• First player in NCAA era to earn back-to-back All-GLVC honors in 2018 in Tolberd who was also the first player to receive First Team honors after the best seasons in program history, finishing ranked 31st in all of NCAA-II with 630 digs and 43rd nationally with 5.29 per set
• Had first double-digit win season since 2012 in 2017, going 12-20

• Spent two years as the top assistant coach at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas for two years
• Helped Tarleton to its best record in school history, 23-9; in that same year the Texans received its first NCAA regional ranking

• Was a member of the successful program at Washburn University as a setter where she helped the Lady Blues (now Ichabods) to four trips to the NCAA Tournament and an overall record of 130-22
• Saw action in 90 matches and 172 sets over the course of her four seasons. During that time she amassed 958 assists, 16th all-time at WU
• Totaled 209 digs, 39 total blocks, 22 service aces, and 105 kills
• Posted 60 assists on On October 8, 2005 as a freshman, which still ranks second all-time in a four-set match in Washburn history
• Three-time All-Sunflower League selection, including earning first team honors as a high school junior and senior
• Led her team to a runner-up finish at the Kansas Class 6A State Tournament in 2004
• Also participated in track and basketball

• A native of Lawrence, Kansas
• Holds a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology/exercise physiology from Washburn University and master's from Tarleton State
• Married to husband Jacob and welcomed her first child, daughter Brooklyn, in November 2022
