Mike McGlinchey was hired as the head football coach on January 29, 2020 and becoming the 30th head coach in program history. He enters his third season at the helm in 2022.

• Led the Cardinals to the first win since 2019 with a 24-17 win over Kentucky Wesleyan, first GLVC win and road win since 2018 in a season finale victory over Quincy in 2022
• Coached seven All-GLVC performers in first season, the most since 2015, and 17 total in his tenure
• Mentored Brady Monks to All-GLVC honors in the fall of 2021 while true freshman kicker Josh Click connected on 94% of point after attempts and hit three 40-plus yard field goals
• Offense ranked second in the GLVC with more than 483 yards per game in 2021
• Passing offense led the conference with more than 380 yards per game in the spring of 2021; Quarterback Anthony Pritzel set three single game records in season finale
• Team was tied for tops in the league with a turnover margin of +2 during the spring season
• Mentored Grant Latina on special teams who finished sixth in the conference as a freshman with 19.6 yards per return
• Has had 22 players earn Academic All-GLVC honors
• Mentored wide receiver Jalik Jaggwe, a 2022 Rookie Mini Camp invitee with the Minnesota Vikings

• Spent four years at Colorado School of Mines as the Co-Defensive Coordinator, working primarily with the defensive line
• Helped lead the Orediggers to three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships and three NCAA-II National Playoff appearances in 2016, 2018 & 2019
• Coached 13 All-Conference performers
• Led the nation in rush defense and third down defense in 2019, was also ninth nationally in total defense, allowing just 265 yards per game, 12
th in sacks, 13
th in scoring defense, and 19
th in tackles for loss
• Served as the special teams coach as the Orediggers allowed an average of just 10.6 yards on punt returns
• Served as the defensive line coach at Salisbury University (Maryland) where he helped the Seagulls to a New Jersey Athletic Conference title and NCAA Playoff appearance in 2015
• Spent three years at North Carolina Central University, working with special teams, running backs, and the defensive line while also serving as the academic liaison
• Served eight seasons at Towson University working with running backs and tight ends and was promoted to Special Teams and Recruiting Coordinator
• Made additional stops at Princeton, New Hampshire, and the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League

• Earned four letters at offensive guard and tight end for Towson
• Appeared in 36 games with two touchdowns while being known for his outstanding blocking ability
• Was a part of the Tigers’ impressive passing game as a senior which accounted for nearly 4,200 yards and 23 touchdown
• 1999 Patriot League All-Academic selection

• A native of Frostburg, Maryland
• Married to wife Victoria and is the proud father of daughter Ashley and son Cole
• Earned his bachelor's degree in sports communication from Towson in 1999
• Son of Mike McGlinchey, Sr., who led Salisbury University to the 1986 NCAA-III National Championship
