Cards Drop Opening Match at Locos Grill Transitional Tournament

The William Jewell College volleyball dropped their fourth straight match after being shut out 3-0 by University of Sioux Falls in the Locos Grill Transitional Tournament hosted by Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. 

The Lady Cougars won by scores of 26-24, 25-20, and 25-20.  The loss drops the Cards to 15-13 overall and 7-11 in the GLVC.

First-year player Christina Pratt led the Cards with 9 kills while junior Carrie King finished with 7 kills.   Sophomore Cailynn Hayter led the team with 21 assists and sophomore Katie Damgar contributed 12 digs.

The Cardinals will continue play in the Locos Grill Transition Tournament tonight as they face Black Hills State at 7:00 p.m.
