The William Jewell College women's basketball team fell in their Great Lakes Valley Conference debut to Quincy University 77-61 tonight at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Mo.
The Lady Hawks came out on fire on the first half shooting nearly 60% from the field and 50% from three-point land. The Cardinals shot 42% in the first half and Quincy led 51-30 at halftime.
The Lady Hawks cooled down a bit in the second half but the lead they built in the first half was too much for the Cardinals to overcome.

Holly Switzer tossed in 10 points.
The Cardinals, 4-1 on the year, will continue GLVC play as they host University of Illinois-Springfield on Saturday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mabee Center on the Jewell Campus in Liberty, Mo.
