After a good start, the Cardinal men had a tough time keeping up with the University of Illinois-Springfield Saturday at the Mabee Center.

UIS rolled to a 33-27 lead at half, and the Cardinals never regained the lead they had early in the game. The Cardinals managed to shoot only 40% for the game despite working the ball inside and having many chances from short range, especially in the second half.

Nick Larson had 16 points for the Cardinals and Mark Mason added 11.

The Cardinals (3-3, 1-1 in the GLVC)  have a week off before travelling to play Newman University next Saturday.
