Cards Fall 3-0 to Drury

The William Jewell College volleyball team fell 3-0 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game against Drury University tonight at the Mabee Center.

Drury was able to squeak by in the three sets with scores of 25-21, 28-26, and 25-23.

For the Cardinals, Hannah Herndon led the team with 11 kills, and Jordan Jackson was right behind her with 9. The Cardinals finished with a total of 38 kills for the evening. Out of the 38 assists for Jewell, Cailyn Hayter led with 31 while Katie Damgar had 17 of the 55 digs with Hannah Herndon trailing with 15.

The Cardinals, 5-3 on the year, will host GLVC opponent Missouri S&T and Pittsburg State in a triangular meet on Saturday, September 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mabee Center for Physical Education on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
