Cards Win Third Straight

The William Jewell College volleyball team won their third straight match defeating University of Illinois-Springfield 3-1 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup Saturday afternoon at the Mabee Center.

Junior Hannah Herndon led with 19 kills followed by first-year player Jordan Jackson's 13. Sophomore Cailynn Hayter issued 42 assists while sophomore Katie Damgar and Rachel Gilman led in digs with 18 and 15 respectively.

The Cardinals, 8-4 on the year, will continue GLVC action on Saturday, October 1 in Owensboro, Ky., versus Kentucky Wesleyan College at 5:00 p.m.
