William Jewell men's basketball lost their fifth straight game Saturday at the Mabee Center in Liberty, dropping a 72-63 decision to NCAA D2 Kentucky Wesleyan College.

The Cardinals, who trailed by a single point at halftime, saw KWC stretch the lead to as many as 10 in the second half.  On two occaisions, though, the Cardinals were able to pull within one again, but Wesleyan had too much firepower down the stretch; Jewell also suited up only 11 players for the contest.

Mark Mason led Jewell scorers with 17 points; Nick Larson had 15 and Chris Uz contributed 10.

The Cardinals shot 38% from the floor to Wesleyan's 56%.

Jewell will continue GLVC play at Rockhurst on Monday, January 16 at 3:15 p.m.
