The Jewell men never led in the road game against GLVC Western Division foe Drury University in Springfield, Mo., dropping a 79-56 decision to the Panthers.

Jewell (5-11, 2-8 GLVC) was down 9-0 before an early time out, trailed by 11 at halftime and by 20 in the second half.  A rally midway through the final period  got the Cardinals to within 8, but Drury (10-8, 4-6) pulled away in the final minutes.

Mark Mason had 19 points for Jewell and Nick Larson had 15.  The Cardinals turned the ball over 18 times to Drury's 10, and were outshot 55% to 42% on the night.

The Cardinals will take on Missouri S&T Saturday afternoon at the Mabee Center in Liberty.  Tipoff is scheduled for 3:15.
