Missouri S&T jumped on William Jewell College early in the game and cruised to a 52-17 win during their homecoming game in Rolla, Missouri on Saturday.
The Miners (6-1, 4-1 in the GLVC) led 24-3 at half, and stretched their lead to 45-3 against the Cardinals (2-5, 1-3) late in the game.
Jewell's offense came alive midway through the third quarter, as backup quarterback D.J. Balazs took the Cardinals on two scoring drives, highlighted by Thomas Cook Jr.'s 18 yard touchdown run and Balazs own two yard run late in the game.
Jack Bissonette had an interception for the Cardinals in the game. Jewell turned the ball over twice.
Jewell returns home next weekend to face GLVC foe St. Joseph's College in a 1:00 p.m. start.
