Junior forward Olivia Dykes'55th-minute goal was the difference as the William Jewell College women's soccer team avenged it's only loss of the season against Lewis University 1-0, in its Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament quarterfinal match Sunday afternoon at Greene Stadium. 

The second seeded Cardinals improve to 14-1-3 overall, and advance to the semifinal round to face third-seed Bellarmine -a 2-0 winner over Southern Indiana—on Friday, Nov. 2  in Quincy Ill. 

Dyke's  match-winning goal was a from inside the box off a pass from Sali Stout.  The goal was Dykes' fifth of 2012.

Cardinal keeper Kelli Sontag recorded four saves on the day and recorded her ninth shutout of the season

Jewell outshot Lewis , 14-13, and corner kicks were even at two apiece.
