The William Jewell College volleyball team fell in its final home match of the 2012 season to No. 3 ranked Washburn University 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-15, and 25-17) Tuesday night at The Mabee Center.

Jewell falls to 12-17 on the season and Washburn improves to 29-1 on the year.   

Senior Hannah Herndon and first-year player Kaylee Marquardt each recorded nine kills.  Herndon also contributed 11 digs while libero Katie Damgar had a match high 19 digs.  Junior Cailynn Hayter finished the match with 30 assists.

The Cardinals will hit the road for the final weekend of the 2012 season as they take on Maryville University and University of Missouri-St. Louis on Missouri S&T Friday and Saturday respectively.
