The Drury University Panthers made their first visit to the Mabee Center since 1988 and junior guard Alex Hall made sure it would be a memorable one for the Panthers. Hall hit a half court three pointer at the buzzer to force a second overtime and Drury (14-10, 8-9 GLVC) used that momentum to upend the Cards 88-84 on Thursday night in Liberty, Mo.
The Cards shot 55% from the field in the first half including 4-9 from three point land and took a 35-29 lead at halftime.
The Cardinals led the Panthers for most of second half before Drury took their first lead with 1:22 to play in regulation. Hall hit a layup with 34 seconds to play to help send the game into the first overtime.

Chris Uz hit two free throws to put the Cardinals up by four with nine seconds remaining. Drury then responded with a three point play by Brandon Lockhart to cut the lead to 75-74. Uz hit another pair of free throws to put the Cards up by three with two seconds to play. Hall then threw up a miracle half-court shot that went in to send the game to double overtime.
Drury took the lead 30 seconds into the second overtime and held on to the lead the rest of the way.
Nick Larson scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the Cardinals while Uz and
Craig Mattson contributed 13 points apiece.
The Cardinals (7-15, 4-12 GLVC) will travel to Rolla, Mo., on Saturday to take on Missouri S&T. The Cardinals defeated the Miners 65-56 back on January 28.
