The Drury University Lady Panthers made the most of their first ever visit to the Mabee Center on Thursday night as they used a 20-1 run the final five minutes to defeat William Jewell 62-50.
The Cardinals had a strong showing in the first half and dominated the inside game outscoring Drury 20-6 in points in the paint. Jewell took a 28-22 lead into halftime.
Jewell then built a 46-32 lead on the Lady Panthers (18-6 overall, 13-3 in the GLVC) with just over 12 minutes to go in the ball game only to see Drury outscore the Cards 30-4 the rest of the way.
Cassy Nicolay had 17 points and 9 rebounds for the Cardinals (13-9, 8-8 in the GLVC).
Jessie Wheeler pitched in 10 for Jewell.
The Cardinals will travel to Rolla, Mo., on Saturday to continue GLVC action versus Missouri S&T at 3:00 p.m. The Lady Miners got by the Cardinals 67-63 in Liberty, Mo., back on January 28.
