Southwest Baptist Box Score

The William Jewell College women's tennis team suffered two 9-0 defeats this weekend falling to Drury University on Friday and Southwest Baptist University on Saturday.

Against Drury the Cardinals fell in doubles by scores of 8-3, 8-6 and 8-3 at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 doubles respectively. 

Drury dominated singles play with Jewell battling in close contests at No. 3 and No. 4 singles.  Kristen Stivers lost a tough 6-4, 6-4 battle while Hana Lindbloom fell 6-3, 6-3. 

Against Southwest Baptist, the Cardinals again came out of doubles play in an 0-3 hole.  Jewell fell 8-3, 8-2, and 8-6 at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 doubles. 

In singles action, Kristen Stivers lost a tough 6-3, 6-3 match at No. 3 singles and Loree Hazelrigg fell in three sets, 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 at No. 6 singles. 

The Cardinals, 7-5 on the spring, will host University of Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Clayview Country Club.
