The William Jewell College women's tennis team finished their home season with a sweep of Missouri Western State University at Clayview Country Club on Tuesday afternoon. 

The Cardinals (10-5, 2-2 GLVC) won 9-0 over the Lady Griffons for their sixth shutout of the spring.  The Cardinals also honored Senior Carolyn Klenda before the match. 

Jewell won all their matches in straight sets, while its closest decision in doubles was an 8-5 victory at the No. 3 spot by Klenda and Hana Lindbloom. 

Following a sweep of doubles, each of the Cardinals' six singles players made quick work of their opposition. Conner Hazelrigg finished first with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Katie Field at No. 6  and was soon followed off the courts by Chelsea Dinkel who bested Alecia Jenkins 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5.  Paula Peters won her third straight match as she defeated Nicole Kerr 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 while Jaimie Baker earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Erin Ward at No. 4. 

Hana Lindbloom was next to finish as she defeated Kayla Dysart 6-1 6-3 at No. 3 singles and Carli Bisesi was able to help Jewell complete the sweep with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles over Ceara Boldridge.

The Cardinals return to GLVC action on Friday as they travel to Springfield, Ill., to take on University of Illinois-Springfield at 2:00 p.m.
