The William Jewell College volleyball team was shutout 3-0 by Drury University in Great Lakes Valley Conference action Saturday afternoon at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield, Mo.

The Panthers defeated Jewell by match scores of 25-20, 26-24 and 25-12 to improve to 6-6 overall and 1-1 in the GLVC.  The loss drops the Cardinals to 4-6 and 0-2 in the GLVC. 

Hannah Herndon had 11 kills and Cailynn Hayter added a team-high 18 assists for the Cards.

William Jewell returns to GLVC action on Tuesday with a visit to Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., for a 7:00 p.m. start.
