Jewell women's volleyball battled for five games against Quincy University in GLVC play Friday night at the Mabee Center, prevailing 15-12 in the deciding game after trailing 10-7 early on.

The Cardinals outhit the Hawks .172 to .149 on the night, with 59 kills to Quincy's 54.  Kaylee Marquardt had 13 kills, Kelsey Wagner had 12, and Libby Ording had 11 for Jewell.

Cailynn Hayter recorded 31 assists, and Kelsey Moffit had another 18.  The Cardinals also had six service aces and no errors in the five games.

Jewell (2-15, 1-7 GLVC) will face Truman State University at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Mabee Center.
