The William Jewell College women's soccer team traveled to Kenosha, Wis., this afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference tilt. The host Rangers scored the game winner in the 75th minute to hold off the Cardinals, winning 2-1.
With the loss, Jewell is now 7-6-1 overall, and 5-5-1 in GLVC play.
In the first half each team had three shots but it was the Lady Rangers who struck first. In the 5th minute, Vianey Hernandez knocked home a goal off a pass from Kate Gavin to give Parkside a 1-0 lead.

Sarah Franklin tied the game just before halftime off a pass from
Emily Monroe at the 43:35 mark. The goal snapped the Rangers' shutout streak at 500 minutes.
Both teams tallied seven shots in the second half but Parkside tallied when Jasmine Espino sent home the game winner in the 73
rd minute to give the Rangers the 2-1 winning edge.
The Cardinals are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Romeoville, Ill., to challenge Lewis University at 12:00 p.m.
