The William Jewell College volleyball team dropped its fifth straight match on Sunday afternoon, falling 3-1 to University of Illinois-Springfield in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup. 

The Prairie Stars took the contest 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19 as they hit .208 on the night. 

First-year player Lauren Holm led the way for Jewell as she had 12 kills.  Christina Pratt and Libby Ording each added 11
kills for the Cardinals.  Senior Katie Damgar tallied 29 digs on the day while Cailynn Hayter finished with 30 assists. 

The Cardinals, 4-24 and 2-13 in GLVC play will travel to Rockhurst University on Tuesday with first serve set for 7:00 p.m.
