Senior Chelsea Meeks passed the 1,000 point mark for the Cardinal women's basketball team on Saturday, scoring 21 points against the Peacocks of Upper Iowa University during the win in the Mabee Center.

Meeks, a senior from Vincennes, Indiana, is averaging 15.4 points per game, leading Jewell scorers.  She has been named to NCAA all-conference teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and in the NAIA's Heart of America Conference, where she was Freshman of the Year.

Chelsea is the daughter of Brent and Beth Meeks.
