Jewell men's basketball withstood 29 personal fouls that resulted in 44 Graceland foul shots, picking up their second win of the season 110-103 Tuesday night in the Mabee Center.
There were 77 free throws shot between the two teams.
The Cardinals (2-3) trailed by 14 points in the first half before rallying to lead 43-40 at half. Â Shooting 62% in the second half and 55% for the game, the Cardinals led most of the second half, including double digit leads late before Graceland rallied to pull within two points. Â Jewell took control over the final three minutes behind three rebounds and six free throws by D"Vante Mosby to seal the win.
Seven Cardinals were in double figures, led by DeVonte Bell's 19, 18 from
Jordan Lewis, 17 from Dwight Sistrunk, 15 each from Mosby and
Austin Regier, 14 from Clint McCollough and 10 from Kyle Smith.
Mosby also had 10 rebounds.
The Cardinals will play Rockhurst University on December 5 at the Mabee Center to kick off the GLVC season.
