Cardinal Netters Drop Road Match at Lewis

Jewell volleyball ran into a hot-hitting Lewis Flyers team on Sunday, dropping a three set match 25-16, 25-9, 26-24 in Romeoville, Illinois.

The Cardinals were outhit in all three games by Lewis, who  ended the match hitting .246.  For Jewell, Christina Pratt had five kills and two blocks and Libby Ording had four kills and five blocks.  Defensively, Katie Damgar had 17 digs and Kelsey Wagner had 11; Jewell had 48 total digs in the match.

In the final set, the Cardinals took the Flyers (18-8, 11-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Confererence) to the limit before bowing 26-24.  The game featured four ties and three lead changes.

Jewell, now 4-23 (2-11 GLVC) returns home to face McKendree University on Saturday and Illinois-Springfield on Sunday in their final home matches of the year.
