The William Jewell College men's basketball team rebounded after a tough loss at Southwest Baptist to knock off Ottawa University by a score of 102-67 at The Mabee Center on Tuesday night.
Jordan Lewis (26 points, two rebounds) and
Clint McCullough (14 points) led the way for the Cardinals.
Jewell started out shooting well, opening up a 31-9 lead 11:31 into the game. Three pointers were a big story as well, as the Cardinals made 5-14 from behind the arc, while the Braves shot 1-6 from three-point range. Jewell held a 46-23 lead at the half.
In the second half, the Cardinals continued to dominate their former NAIA foe and at one point held a 36 point lead late in the half and shot 55 percent from the field and were 3-4 from behind the arc.
For Jewell (5-4), Lewis led all scorers with 26 points. McCullough also had a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with his 14 points. Dwight Sistrunk handed out a game-high 12 assists as well as scoring five points.
The Cardinals will host Bellarmine University on Friday, January 3 with tip off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Mabee Center.
