Jewell Men Cruise Past Central Christian

William Jewell got off to a quick start in leading from wire-to-wire over Central Christian College of the Bible, winning easily 104-53 in Liberty Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Cardinals led 48-28 at the half in gaining their fourth win of the year against three defeats, and have gone 4-1 over their past five games.

Every player scored for Jewell, with Jordan Lewis's 5-5 shooting from behind the three-point arc and a total of 17 points leading the way.  Other double figure scorers were DeVonte Bell, Clint McCullough and Kyle Smith with 12 each, and Zach Starr with 10 points.

Austin Regier had nine points and led Jewell with six rebounds; Dwight Sistrunk, Jr. had six points and 10 assists in 18 minutes.

The Cardinals forced 20 turnovers in the game, while committing seven.

Jewell will travel to Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri next Satruday for a 7:30 game in non-conference actions.
