The William Jewell College women's tennis team scorched the Saints of Maryville University 9-0 on Friday in St. Louis, Mo.  With the win, the Cardinals improve to 11-4 on the season and 1-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

Kristen Stivers and Katy Lehenbauer started the match with an 8-6 doubles win at No. 1 and Jewell never looked back.  Loree and Conner Hazelrigg took the second doubles match 8-0 and the duo of Jaimie Baker and Savannah Drew won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.

Stivers won her singles match 6-1, 6-2, Drew won hers 6-0, 6-2.  Lehenbauer (6-0, 6-1), and Loree Hazelrigg (6-0, 6-0), Carli Bisesi (6-1, 6-0) and Conner Hazelrigg (6-0, 6-0) were all victorious for William Jewell.   

The Cardinals will continue GLVC play tomorrow against University of Missouri-St. Louis on the UMSL campus at 10:00 a.m.
