The William Jewell College women's tennis team fell 8-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action against University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo.

The Cards dug themselves into an 0-3 hole after doubles.  Kristen Stivers and Katy Lehenbauer lost 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.  Loree and Conner Hazelrigg dropped an 8-4 decision and Savannah Drew and Jaimie Baker fell 8-2 at No. 3.

The Tritons took five of six singles matches with Jewell's lone singles win coming from Conner Hazelrigg at No. 6 singles 6-4, 6-3.

Jewell, 11-5 on the spring will travel to St. Joseph, Mo., on Monday, April 8 to take on Missouri Western State University.
