Jackie Parkhill, who has starred on the courts for Smithson Valley High School (Spring Branch, Texas) signed her National Letter of Intent to attend William Jewell College and play tennis for the Cardinals during the 2013-14 school year.
“Jackie is a fighter and has had to overcome a lot of adversity over the last year,” said Jewell head coach
Paul Worstell. “She has been successful both in the classroom and on the tennis court and she will make an outstanding addition to our team. I am really looking forward to working with her for the next four years.”
Parkhill, a native of Bulverde, Texas, was a District Champion and regional qualifier in 2011 as a junior. As a senior, she was a District runner up and a regional qualifier. Parkhill also trains at Windcrest Tennis Center in San Antonio, Texas.
In addition to her play on the court, Parkhill was an outstanding student at Smithson Valley and intends to major in Business at Jewell.
