Jewell's upset bid against NCAA Division II #19 Indianapolis came up short Saturday in Indianapolis, as two free-throws by Reece Cheatham with 4.7 seconds left broke an 82-all tie to give the Greyhounds the win.

A final chance for the Cardinals (6-7, 2-3 in the GLVC) ended when UIndy intercepted Jewell's pass at midcourt as time expired.

The Cards led by as many as five in the second half after trailing by four at half, as Jewell outshot the Hounds 55% to 47%.  Clint McCullough let Jewell with 24 points,10 rebounds and two blocks; Dwight Sistrunk, Jr. had 13 points and eight assists with three steals, and Alexander Hutson had 11 points.

Indianapolis had a slim 31-29 advantage on the boards; the Cardinals had 20 turnovers to Indianapolis's 11.

The Cardinals return to the road next weekend with games at Missouri S&T on Thursday, and at #3 Drury on Saturday.
