Box Score Jewell men's basketball, shooting only 38% from the field, dropped to 6-8 (2-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference) with a 96-82 loss at Missouri S&T in Rolla, Missouri, Thursday night.
The Miners (6-8, 1-5) took a lead midway through the first half and led at the break by five points. Â S&T shooting (58% in the second half and 51% for the game) made the difference, as most of the other stats were close to even.
Clint McCullough went 10-11 from the field and had a game-high 25 points. Â
Dwight Sistrunk, Jr. had 16 points and eight assists, while
Jordan Lewis scored 14 points. Â
Missouri S&T scored 46 points in the paint to 29 for the Cardinals, and outscored Jewell off the bench 25-13.
Jewell takes on #7 ranked and defending national champion Drury Satruday afternoon at 3:30 in Springfield, Missouri.
