Box Score Cardinal men's basketball defeated the Hawks of Quincy University 82-75 Thursday night in the Mabee Center in Liberty. The win improves the Cardinals record to 7-9 overall and 3-5 in the GLVC, and breaks a three-game Jewell losing streak.

Jewell led Quincy at the half 44-36.  D'Vante Mosby led the Cardinals at halftime with 16 points--nine in a row to start the game--and four rebounds. The Cardinals had an impressive three turnovers in the first half and forced the Hawks into seven.

The Cardinals used their momentum from the first half to finish the game against the Hawks. The Hawks battled against the Cardinals, coming within three points with seconds left.Â
Christopher Morrison had a rebound and layup to seal the victory for the Cardinals. Mosby ended the game with 22 points;
Devonte Bell chipped in 13,
Dwight Sistrunk, Jr. added 11 and
Clint McCullough ended with 10.

The Cardinals play Truman State University on Saturday at approximately 3:30 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the Jewell women.Â
