Cardinal women's basketball fell to the #16th ranked Quincy University Hawks Thursday night at the Mabee Center in Liberty 56-69.  The Cardinals are now 8-8 overall and 3-4 in the GLVC.
 
After being down by 18 at one point, the Cards entered the locker room down six in the first half of the game.  Cassy Nicolay was key to the Cardinal offense in the first half with 7 points, Maddie Nelson chipped in 6 points to close the gap on the Hawks.
 
Nicolay scored her 1000^th career point in the first half of the contest and finished with 14 points and seven rebounds on the night.
 
Kelsey Nickerson scored 11 points, Jesse Wheeler had six boards and three steals.
 
The Cardinals will compete at home again on Saturday facing the Truman State Bulldogs.  A 1:00 p.m. tip is scheduled.
